Julian Assange - A Modern Day Hero? Inside The World Of WikiLeaks

interesting, but for people who have a working knowledge of the man & his background
for me, this was more a collection of footage than an actual "documentary"

if you don't know much about the topic, this is not an introductory breakdown or any sort of narrated story

it's informative, but i would read up on julian assange and wikileaks, then watch this if you would like to know more and hear the interviews

i agree with the person who had some trouble with the audio, although it's more the way assange speaks than an actual audio quality issue (very softly, mumbling, and with heavy "vocal fry")

Great topic delivered poorly
This documentary is marred -- quite seriously, in my opinion -- by a delivery that is slow and enervating. It probably doesn't help that there are many long scenes of Mr. Assange speaking publicly, given that his speaking style is tedious and moribund. Some of this might have been mitigated by some thoughtful editing.

That being said, if you don't mind the sluggish pace and monotonous tone, there is a lot of information here about the Wikileaks enterprise and the various professional and political discourses that inform it.

A Must See
The disappearance of news coverage makes it easy to forget. But Wikileaks is still doing earth-changing work wresting control away from psychopath corporations and returning it back to humanity. Watch this film, and tell your friends to see it too.

Regarding another reviewer, it's arguably not fair to rate a documentary of this nature on production value. Assange was under very serious pressure when much of this was filmed; we're lucky to have gotten any footage at all under these circumstances.

Besides, the audio quality and production value is actually perfectly acceptable, a complete non-issue.

On the other hand, this film serves a crucial purpose as an excellent reminder of the vital nature of the Wikileaks mission - something that is easily forgotten soon after mass media turns to other topics.

Watch this film.
